Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 25, 2026

This policy describes, in plain terms, what information Textiles AI collects and how it's used. It is not a substitute for legal advice — if you have questions about your rights under a specific law (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), please contact us directly.

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy applies to Textiles AI ("we," "us," "our") and the services available at textiles-ai.com (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

2. Information we collect

We collect information in the following ways:

  • Account information you provide when you sign up or complete your profile: email address, password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text), first and last name, phone number, shipping address, checkout PIN (also stored hashed), and style/size preferences.
  • Order and cart information: items you save, add to your cart, or purchase, and your order history. Payment card details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor, Stripe — we do not store your full card number.
  • Usage information, collected automatically: pages and products viewed, search queries, session and device identifiers, referral links used, and general interaction data, used to operate and improve the Site.
  • Communications you send us, including access requests and support inquiries.

3. How we use information

  • To create and maintain your account, cart, and order history.
  • To process payments securely through Stripe.
  • To send transactional communications — account verification, order confirmations, and similar notices — via our email provider, SendGrid.
  • To power and improve search, including AI-assisted processing of search queries by our AI service providers (OpenAI / Azure OpenAI).
  • To understand how the Site is used and improve it, using analytics tools including Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity (which may record anonymized session interactions).
  • To operate our referral program and attribute referrals correctly.
  • To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues.

4. Sign-in with Google

If you choose to sign in with Google, authentication is handled by Firebase (a Google service). We receive basic profile information (such as your email address) needed to create or access your account.

5. Third parties we share information with

We share information with service providers only as needed to operate the Site: Stripe (payments), SendGrid (email delivery), Google Firebase (sign-in), Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity (analytics), and our AI search providers. When you place an order, we share the information necessary to fulfill it (such as your shipping address and order details) with the retailer selling the item. We do not sell your personal information.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of essential cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your cart, and manage access to the Site. Our analytics providers may set their own cookies or identifiers to help us understand usage patterns.

7. Data retention

We retain account information for as long as your account remains active, and transaction records for as long as needed to meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations. You can request deletion of your account at any time — see Section 8.

8. Your choices and rights

  • You can review and update most of your account information from your profile settings.
  • You can delete your account at any time from your account settings, or by contacting us.
  • You can opt out of promotional email notifications from your notification preferences.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information — for example, the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your data. Contact us to make a request.

9. Children's privacy

The Site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

10. Security

Passwords and checkout PINs are stored using industry-standard hashing, and payment information is handled by a PCI-compliant processor. We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

12. Contact us
